OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH.
1. The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian belief and living (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21).
2. God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3).
3. Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and personal return in power and glory (John 1:14; Matthew 1:18–25; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11).
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is present in the world to convict, guide, empower, and comfort believers. He indwells every believer and provides spiritual gifts for service and edification (John 14:26; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11).
5. Spiritual Gifts
We believe that spiritual gifts are special abilities given by the Holy Spirit to every believer for the purpose of building up the Body of Christ and advancing the Kingdom of God. These gifts include, but are not limited to, teaching, prophecy, healing, tongues, wisdom, knowledge, faith, discernment, and helps. We believe all gifts should be exercised in love and in accordance with Scripture, always pointing to Christ and bringing glory to God (1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Romans 12:6–8; Ephesians 4:11–13; 1 Corinthians 13).
6. Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We are saved by repentance from sin and trust in the finished work of Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10).
7. The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all believers. Its mission is to glorify God by loving Him, loving people, and making disciples of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:4–6; Matthew 28:19–20).
8. Baptism and Communion
We believe in water baptism by immersion as an act of obedience and public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. We also believe in the regular celebration of the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26).
9. The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal Kingdom (Titus 2:13; Revelation 22:12).
10. Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life in heaven and the lost to eternal separation from God (John 5:28–29; Revelation 20:11–15).
11. Christian Living
We believe every believer is called to live a holy and obedient life, empowered by the Holy Spirit, reflecting Christ in character, conduct, and mission (Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:22–23).
